Each year, business owner, Keri Herding, says her family opens up shop in Sturgis. She says her husband and brother came for the rally and stumbled across a beer license, so they thought, why not open up shop.
Herding says her bar “Temporary Insanity” opens each year on July 1, and then it's open through the rally.
It's a temporary business but it's a lot of fun, and it stays very busy.
"Well my brother-in-laws are both teachers and then my husband and I are both in the finance field, so this is something different, fun, and exciting," Herding says.
There will also be a band playing at Herding's business this year called Montage.
One band member says, the band has been in the area for nearly 20 years, and always plays at Sturgis.
"We play the old standard classic you know and hard rock. We don't do any heavy metal or anything like that,” says band member, Bernie Pettis.
More people are expected to attend this year's rally because it is the 70th Anniversary.
Some officials estimate about 800,000 people will attend.
