Governor Mike Rounds heads to New York City this week to help lead the Council of State Governments' first Economic Summit of the States.
The conference set for Thursday through Sunday will provide an opportunity for state officials to talk about the economy and come up with ideas to recover from the recession.
Rounds is the president of the council.
He and the council chairman, Kentucky Senate President David L. Williams, will co-chair the summit.
