Texting While Driving Campaign

Some experts say it's more dangerous than driving drunk, but still many people do it: texting while driving.

To get you to stop, two area groups are starting campaigns to get you to put the phone away while you're behind the wheel.

Girl Scouts across South Dakota are launching a campaign on Saturday.

Paralegal students at Western Dakota Tech start their mission by asking people to voluntarily sign a pledge.

“Well hopefully we can get a pledge that can save one life even it's worth it,” says Marya Tellinghuisen, director of the paralegal program at WDT.

Many anti-texting groups want texting while driving to be illegal, but so far it's still is legal South Dakota.
