Based upon the interest received on the multi-state health care challenge, the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office has provided a health care lawsuit FAQ section on the attorney general's homepage. 

Last week President Obama signed health care reform into law.

But, South Dakota has joined several other states in a lawsuit over health care reform.   South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says the law is unconstitutional because mandates on Medicaid will be unfunded and put a large burden on our state budget.
