Honda is recalling more than 400,000 vehicles because of a braking problem. The recall includes 2007 and 2008 Odyssey mini-vans and Element small trucks. Honda says their brakes could become soft and must be pressed closer to the floor to stop the vehicles.
A spokesperson said if the problem isn't fixed, it could lead to a loss in braking power and possibly a crash. Honda said that before scheduling a repair, owners should wait to get a letter from the company around the end of April. The company said that's because parts are not available yet.
The National Transportation Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it's received reports of three crashes because of the problem, with minor injuries and no deaths. Honda is still compiling a list of affected vehicles.
After April 19th owners can get information about the recall at www.recalls.honda.com or by calling 800-999-1009 and selecting option number four.
