White River has lost only two games all season and enters the State B Boys Basketball Tournament as the number one seed.

But that doesn't mean this year's state tournament will be a walk in the park for the 2008 champions.

White River will play Colman-Egan in the quarter finals on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. in Aberdeen.

The Tigers are 21-2 on the season with their only losses coming against Red Cloud and Corsica-Stickney.

This will mark the fifth straight appearance in the State B Tournament for White River.  After winning the State Title in 2008, the Tigers lost to Sully Buttes by one point in last years state championship game.

White River Assistant Coach Jared Bouman says, "It takes a lot of work.  It's a long season.  The guys start early, get in the gym early, and keep working throughout.  And it's an awesome feeling to get to go back again."

The State B Tournament tips off this Thursday with White River and Colman-Egan.

The second game features the State defending B champion, Sully Buttes against Viborg at 1:45 p.m.

Hitchcock-Tulare will take on James Valley Christian in the third game of the day at 6:00 p.m.

Faith returns to the State B Tournament for the first time three years.  The Longhorns square off against Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Thursday night at 7:45 p.m.
