Empowering Women Conference

Over a hundred women from around the area met in Rapid City Saturday for the Empowering Women Conference.

The one day event was dedicated to issues affecting women and featured several speakers, seminars and a variety of vendors.

The featured speaker was Kristin Steede, a former contestant on NBC's "The Biggest Loser."

Steede spoke about her journey and how it changed her life forever.

So far, Steede has lost more than 160 pounds.

This is the first time the event has ever been held in Rapid City.
