As evidenced by what happened Thursday in the girls’ state double A basketball tournament, anything can happen.
The top four seeds all lost in the first round, which means this year's state title will go to either a team from Rapid City or Sioux Falls.
Rapid City Stevens and Central met for the fourth time Friday night in the semi-finals at the state double A tournament.
Justine Blade had 25 points to lead the Raiders over the Cobblers, 50-44.
Lacey Lehmann led the Cobblers with 12 points.
In the other semi-final match-up, Sioux Falls Washington defeated O'Gorman by 20.
Elsewhere at the state double A tournament, Sioux Falls Lincoln knocked off number one seed Aberdeen Central, 38-33.
And it was Sioux Falls Roosevelt over Huron, 71-49.
The finals are also set the state B tournament. It was Summit, too strong for Highmore-Harrold, final score 51-44.
Summit will face Castlewood for the title after the Warriors beat James Valley Christian by four in overtime.
In the consolation bracket, Taylor Trohkimoinen had 20 points as Newell beat Wall 63-44.
Meanwhile, Freeman rolled over Viborg, 51-37.
