Cash for Appliances has seen a lot of success in South Dakota, but did you know there is also a way to get something back for electronics that you're not using?
Radio Shacks across the country are offering a Gift Card for Electronics program.
All you have to do is bring in that old mp3 player, cell phone, or digital camera that's collecting dust in the drawer, and they will give you credit for their store.
Technology on these products changes very quickly, and representatives for the store say this is a good way for customers to earn credit to put towards an upgrade.
Mike Coyle, a Store Manager at Radio Shack said, "Everybody's looking for the newer, the best thing so, it's allowing them to evolve with the technology."
Customers can look to receive anywhere between five and $75 for a trade-ins. The electronics must be in working condition and able to "power on" during the appraisal process. Larger items such as TVs must go through radio shack's online trade-in process.
