Just a few years ago, St. Thomas More dominated class A boys basketball by winning back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007.

But since then, the Cavaliers have failed to make it back to the state tournament.

Monday night, the Cavaliers had a chance to change that with a win over Red Cloud, 71-54.

Joining St. Thomas More at the state A tournament will be Winner.

The Warriors defeated St. Francis for the region 7A title, final score 54-40.

Meanwhile in the region two double A playoffs, Mitchell surprised Sturgis to clinch a ticket in the boys state double A tournament.

The Kernels win 74-58.

In the other match-up Stevens falls to Aberdeen Central 82-51.
