The Rapid City Central boys basketball team wrapped up the regular season with three straight wins.
Now the Cobblers are hoping to turn their late season hot streak into a berth in the State AA Tournament.
Friday night, Sturgis visited Rapid City Central with a trip to the boys State Tournament on the line. This marks the third meeting of the year between these two teams.
Back on January 14th, central pounded the scoopers by 32 points, but their second match up a few weeks ago was much closer with central winning by just eight points.
The third ranked cobblers entered the game with a 15-5 record while Sturgis was 14-6. History was no doubt on the side of the Cobblers.
Not only had it been more than two months since Central's last home loss, but the Cobblers had not lost a game to Sturgis in over two years.
And sure enough the Cobblers won the game 79-60.
