If at first you don't succeed try, try again, and again.
Developers are still trying to build a second Wal-Mart Supercenter, on the city's south side. They filed plans with the city to build a Supercenter on land near Fifth Street and Catron Boulevard. The site is zoned commercial.
Some Wal-Mart shoppers say the store on La Crosse is too crowded and a second store would be nice.
Matt DeWolfe from Rapid City says, "You find on a good day lines are really long, and you kind of dread going to Wal-Mart sometimes, so this might spread it out a little bit."
City council members will look at any plans that come forward from developers.
Previous attempts to build a second Wal-Mart in Rapid City have failed
