Meade County voters will decide Tuesday whether an area east of Sturgis will be annexed to the city.

City officials say that during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, businesses and campgrounds in the 1,800-acre area benefit from city services without having to pay city taxes.

Full Throttle Saloon owner Mike Ballard says the city just wants to take money away from him, when he does nothing but bring business to the city.

Ballard says his payroll during the rally is $32,000, and 80 percent of it gets spent locally.
