Attorney General Marty Jackley says consumers need to read the fine print in preparation for changes in credit card rules that take effect Feb. 22, 2010.
He says credit card companies are beginning to make adjustments and the Division of Consumer Protection is getting complaints from consumers about higher interest rates and more fees.
Jackley said banks must inform consumers when they are changing the interest rate or terms of a contract, so it's important that consumers open, read, and understand any documents from their credit card issuer.
