South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks is looking for someone who poached a bighorn sheep in Custer State Park.
Officers say it happened Nov. 27. The head and cape of the animal were removed and the carcass was left to rot.
Back in the winter of 2004-2005 a pneumonia outbreak reduced the bighorn sheep population at the park by 75 percent.
The park is now home to only 30 sheep down from 200.
