Last week the nation celebrated Veterans’ Day, but Monday night one restaurant in Rapid City was honoring local soldiers who have served by serving them a free meal.
Golden Corral had its 9th annual Military Appreciation Day.
Nationally, give out 270,000 meals per year.
Last year, the Rapid City Golden Corral served over 1,100 meals, according to assistant general manager, Mary Parker.
It is for any branch of the military and for both veterans and active duty members.
The Disabled American Veterans were also at the event raising money for new vans.
