Animals and tattoos might seem like an odd combination.
But Sunday and Monday in Rapid City hundreds of people got paw print tattoos to raise money for the Humane Society.
Kitten tracks and a wolf’s paw were just some of the designs available.
For a $20 donation people chose from a variety of animal print tattoos at Addictive Ink in Rapid City.
This is the second year the tattoo parlor has hosted this fundraiser and the shop owner says as an animal lover himself he is happy so many people came out to support the Humane Society.
“We chose the Humane Society, it's a great cause, they can always use the help, and we chose them last year, and it was such a good turn out we decided to do it this year and we hope to do it again next year and for many years to come,” says the owner of Addictive Ink, Curtis Feller.
The Humane Society has lowered its adoption costs now to adopt a dog like this it is $85, and cat adoptions have dropped to $65.
