Pet Portraits to Help the Humane Society

It's about time to start thinking about that family Christmas photo and if you’re an animal lover, you'll want to include your four-legged family members.

To help animals at the Humane Society of the Black Hills photographer Chris Benson is hosting her 16th annual pet portrait benefit this weekend.

Families and their pets can get their picture taken and get an 8x10 print for $35.

The money raised goes to support the Humane Society.

"It's fun because it's so fun to look at all the animals that come in and it's very rewarding know that the money is going to food or whatever the Humane Society needs," says Benson.

To schedule a time for your portrait Call Chris at 381-6482 or email her at chrisbenson@rushmore.com.

And the puppy Chris was holding during the interview is available for adoption at the Humane Society.
