It's a never ending problem. The Humane Society of the Black Hills is overcrowded and that's means some pets could be on death row if loving families don't come in to adopt them.
Shelter employees say the facility is completely full of cats and dogs. But, it's not just space they need. They are also running out of supplies.
Faith Makepeace with the Humane Society of the Black Hills says, "If you're looking for a great dog, it's great to come down and get one of these guys and give them a second chance at life. We always need donations, right now, especially puppy food and kitten food."
The shelter has a lot of stray dogs, so if you've lost your dog, stop by and look for it. And if you can't adopt an animal, you can always be a foster family. That buys those wonderful pets more time.
