Modified Dolls looks to change pitbull image
The Humane Society is always promoting the adoption of dogs, and they don't want people to be biased against pitbulls. Pinups for Pitbulls is an interactive event put on by both the humane society and the Dakota Chapter of modify dolls. Pitbulls have a reputation as being aggressive dogs, but members of modify dolls say that is not the case.
Head Doll, Frances Powell says any dog can become aggressive if not cared for properly, and with the right love and attention, pitbulls can make a wonderful pet...
Frances Powell, Head Doll, of Dakota Modify Dolls says, "Pitbulls used to actually be known as the nannies. They sit there and take care of the kids, and they're awesome companions. Extremely friendly. The ol' goal of today is to get people to come out and meet the pitbulls and learn a little bit more about them, just know that they're not bad animals they're just like any other dog just give them love and attention they're awesome."
There are currently two pitbulls at the Humane Society that are looking for a forever home.
