It's that time to year, companies and business can show off their hoops skills to win prizes and donate to a good cause.
The club for boys is hosting it's annual corporate free throw competition. All businesses are welcome to compete. The cost of entry is $150, all of which goes directly to The Club For Boys.
Carri Redmond tells News Center 1, “Over the year we've had about 33,000 boys come through our doors. So it's very important for special events and things like this to raise money to continue our programming into the future. And so that's what we're doing here this week, just helping raise more funds to keep our doors open."
Teams of 5 shoot 25 free throws a piece, prizes are awarded to the top 3 overall team scores and the top scorer in each cooperate division. Individual awards are given to anyone making 23 of 25 free throws or more,
And the top prize is a signed Harlem Globetrotter's basketball if you make a half court shot.
