City Receives Update on President's Plaza Project

Tuesday the Public Works Committee received an update on the 15-story, multi-million dollar President's Plaza Project.
A presentation by Dream Design International, who is working on the project, outlined the progress made so far.
The President's Plaza is designed as a mix of retail, residential and office space, a hotel, conference center, and even a parking garage.
One benefit design officials say the city should be excited about are the economic opportunities this will create for our community.
“We anticipate a little over 200 jobs to be housed in this project. Some of them are existing [and] relocating jobs […] and some of them are brand new jobs,” says Hani Shafai, the President of Dream Design, Inc.
A finishing date on the President's Plaza is still to be determined.
