Attorney General Marty Jackley says Highway Patrol trooper Robert Rybak and city officers Michael Frybarger and Sean Doyle were justified in firing their weapons.
The suspect who was shot on January 10, 42-year-old James Baker of Gillette, Wyoming has been charged with attempted murder and six other felonies.
He allegedly shot at officers but did not hit any of them.
Authorities say the incident started after an officer tried to pull baker over during a traffic stop.
And then officers say the incident escalated from there.
A total of 33-rounds were fired by law enforcement during the gun fire exchange.
Baker will be back in court sometime in the next two weeks.
