City officials gave Rapid City residents the chance to voice their concerns Thursday during a town hall meeting at General Beadle Elementary.

There was no agenda at tonight’s meeting. The floor was open for those in attendance to ask questions, and make comments.

A few people raised concerns about the status of the Horace Mann pool and construction at Founders Park.

Others even took time to thank city leaders for recent city improvements.

Mayor Sam Kooiker says, "I’m excited about the fact that so many people have showed up tonight to participate in city government, and this is so important for city officials to get out of city hall and come out here and listen to what's happening."

After the questions were answered, Rapid City mayor Sam Kooiker gave an update on infrastructure.

Town hall meetings are put on by the north Rapid Civic Association every few months.
