The Rapid City Rush finally wrapped up their eight game homestand Saturday night against the Dayton Gems.

The Rush will hit the road for their next seven games as the Civic Center hosts the annual Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo.

The Rush defeated the Dayton Gems with a final score of 6-0.

In girls’ hockey, the Rushmore Thunder defeated Huron for the second straight night by a score of 7-0.

Alexandra Burre scored a hat trick for the Thunder.

Rapid City Central was defeated by Yankton by a score of 31-52 at Naasz Gymnasium.

Brandon Valley outlasted Rapid City Stevens by a score of 64-49.

And Spearfish had no problem with Hill City. The Spartans won by 42 points with a final of 76-34.

In other action, second ranked Dell Rapids upset top ranked Saint Thomas More at the Hanson Classic in Mitchell with a final score of 58-47.

Also, Belle Fourche falls to Mobridge-Pollock by 19 points with a final score of 68-49.

Meanwhile, Lead-Deadwood survives a close one against Hot Springs, winning by just two points with a final score of 55-53.

Plus, New Underwood beat Wall with a final score of 46-45.

And finally, in men's basketball, Dakota State knocked off the School of Mines by 16 points. The final for that game was 85-69.

Also, the University of Sioux Falls cruises by Black Hills State by a score of 66-44.

The Jackets have now lost six games in a row.

Stevens High School faced off against Brandon Valley at Heier Gymnasium, losing that game by eight points with a final of 70-62.

Checking out the rest of the scores, Central squeaked out a two point win over Yankton. The final score was 47-45.

And Spearfish remains perfect on the year. The Spartans had no problem with Hill City, defeating them by a score of 64-39.

Saint Thomas More wins big over Sioux City West at the Dakota Valley Classic. The final score was 70-45.

Plus, it was Mobridge-Pollock over Belle Fourche by 16 points. 49-33 is your final score.

In other action, Lead-Deadwood snapped a three game losing streak with a one point win over Hot Springs. The final score was 50-49 for that game.

And it was Red Cloud with 63 points over Custer with just 40.

Elsewhere in women's hoops, Justine Blade scored 20 points to lead the Hardrockers past Dakota State.

Also, the University of Sioux Falls was all over Black Hills State, beating them by 70-39.
